Before the start I should say that I was interested in when found first informations about this phone (name for some countries Vodafone Smart Ultra 7 Pro). This was made by TCL, which owns trademarks of Alcatel. The Vodafone's mobile is branded Alcatel IDOL 4s and adds fingerprint reader. Both phones has 5.5inchs AMOLED display with 2k resolution (2560x1440). As SoC using Qualcomm Snapdragon 652, assisted with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB RAM. Primary camera has 16MPx with dual flash, secondary has 8MPx and own flash light. Sound is provided by stereo speakers for JBL, super feature is fingerprint reader. Phone has dedicated button for camera. Battery ended at size 3000MAh with Qualcomm's technology QuickCharge 3.0. Phone has unibody construction with one shelf for dual-sim or single sim with microsd card (max. 256GB). Operating system is represented by newest version of Android 6.0.

 

That is the theory. What in practical use? As I mentioned my current phone was HTC One m7. New phone is briliant. I was surprised with midle-class device, its definitly best phone what I ever had. Of cause here are phones like HTC 10 or Galaxy Note 7 but this phone is really best, because not highend hardware but it is combination of hw params and price. There are no lags in operating system perfect stability for applications with updated version (e.g. support for Android 6.0). Some older applications which are not supported anymore are not installable or fails on start, but its only few I have in my collection on Google Play. The best thing on this phone is display. Briliant 2k AMOLED 5.5 inch display is really top. Very good are viewing angles. For me its first AMOLED kind but I am really satisfied, only one note is because of red color is too enlighting. But it is AMOLED with very bright colors. Super feature is AMBIENT mode, that shows notification when phone is moving. The power of phone is provided by newest Snapdragon 652 64-bit SOC, assisted with Adreno 510 and supported by 3GB RAM are really powerful. When I tested this phone in many benchmarks this phone is between twice and three times more power than my older phone. My tests in real games was perfect all games works flawless, including games like Real Racing 3. Of cause phone is heating when you plays games.

 

The primary camera has 16MPx with f/2.0, which is great value. The photos are very good, but comparation with currents flagships are only good. Camera supports record videos in 4K and slow-motion videos in 720p. Front camera has 8MPx with own flash led. The device can be called selfie phone. Connectivity is including LTE cat.6. that means phone supports max. download 300Mbps and upload 50Mbps. When I measured in realtime in Prague, the result was over 200Mbps (see screen bottom). Supported is VoLTE with means that this phone can says LTE-advanced. Speakers are two, aswell as on my old HTC. I tested sound and I thing its betteer than on older one phone. Battery has capactity 3000 mAh with QuickCharge 3.0 (60% recharged in 30mins). NFC is current must-have feature. The best feature for me is fingerprint reader. I was suprised but it is very useful. The phone body has metal frame covered glass. That means premium construction and materials.
